• Question: why is there more fat in a smaller bottle of lucozade, than a big bottle of iron bru?

      According to their websites (http://www.lucozadeenergy.com/our-products/original/ and (http://www.irn-bru.co.uk/all/drinks) both Lucozade and Irn-Bru contain essentially zero fat. Most of the energy content comes from sugars – in Lucozade these are Glucose, and in Irn-Bru probably Sucrose.

      Lucozade has 297 kJ of energy per 100ml and Irn-Bru has 178 kJ per 100 ml. I suppose this is to be expected since Lucozade is an energy drink – it’s designed to contain lots of energy. Note that Sugar-Free Irn-Bru only contains 3 kJ per 100 ml, since the sugar is replaced with Acesulfame K and Aspartame (sweeteners which our bodies can’t use to generate energy).
