Well of course you should decide based on what is most interesting to you! But my opinion is that Physics is most useful as it underpins all the others. Especially as you get to university level, Biology becomes more and more like Chemistry (just think about the reactions that occur inside cells), and Chemistry becomes more and more like physics (since reactions depend on the interaction of electrons, which are explained by Quantum Physics). So do Physics, you can pick up the others later 😉

There is a cartoon that explains this:

I have to agree with Iain. If I was to choose my first degree now, it would definitely be Physics as it trains your brain best to understand complex maths, physical processes, engineering, radiation and chemistry. The employment options afterwards are endless and there is so much going on in this field as well.

In terms of what you should take further you should definitely pick what interests you the most and gets you thinking. You don’t want to end up doing a degree or something else in something you’re not passionate about. For me, it has to be biology, although i did chemistry at A Level. Biology is a fascinating array of different topics which can take you in various ways after your degree or gcse or a level. You can do lab, field or computer work depending on your interests and can travel to some amazing places. You can also do some awesome dissections!! Take note that you will still need maths if you choose to do science in all the fields so don’t give that up just yet 😉

In the end, just pick the topic you most enjoy! Good luck with choosing!

I personally enjoyed chemistry the most when I was at school. However, that is just a personal preference, and you should go with whatever interests you the most. They are all interesting and fascinating and you are going to discover lots of new things anyway.
