To get into the University of Warwick to study biochemistry, I needed an A and two Bs at A level. I then needed to achieve a 2.1 in my degree in order to get onto the PhD programme that I’m currently on now.
To work in computational science you usually need a PhD degree in a scientific, mathematics or computing-related subject, or equivalent experience (for example I don’t have a PhD but spent 3 years as a commercial software developer). To get onto a PhD you need a 1st class or upper 2nd class BSc degree. To get onto a university degree program you usually need As and/or Bs at A level – it depends what university you want to.
Do your best, and don’t give up and you will get to where you want to be!
