• Question: If you sneeze with your eyes open will they pop out?

      Don’t think so! It’s remarkably hard to remove eyeballs from your eye sockets, and in fact the eyelid makes very little difference to this as it’s very weak – it’s only good for blocking out light, or particles from entering the eye. There is also no mechanism in your body for the rush of air from a sneeze to cause a build-up of pressure behind your eyeballs.
