      The part of the nose we can see is made up of 3 structures, these include the nasal bones at the top of nose and then two sets of cartilage, the bit you can wiggle around! The (internal) part of the nose we can’t see is also made up of 3 structures. These are:

      1. the nasal septum – the internal bit of cartilage that seperates the left and right nostrils.
      2. the turbinates – these swellings moisten and warm the air we breathe in.
      3. the paranasal sinuses – the air filled chambers that surroung and empty into the nose.
