  This is a bit of an ethical/political question, but my personal view is that healthcare should be free at the point of use – it is a basic human right to be treated for illnesses, irrespective of if we can afford to pay or not. Of course, anyone who chooses to pay for private treatment is entitled to do so, and they may get a better standard of care as a result, but a minimum standard would be better for all of us.
