• Question: Do you think animal testing is right

      I don’t work in this area, but I think yes – if it is properly justified and necessary then we can do experimentation on animals. This is often a necessary step in development of new medicines, for example, to ensure they can be safely tested on humans. I would not support animal testing for cosmetics, as I think they are a luxury, not a necessity.

      Same here, I don’t work in this area either – but I can see Iain’s point. For medical reasons (and medical reasons only!), it is probably justified and necessary, although I’d always support alternative ways if there are any.
