      We get malnourished when our diet doesn’t contain the right amount of different nutrients. From our diet, we might receive too many or too few of particular nutrients.

      It’s important to maintain a good balance, because different nutrients are required by our bodies for a range of different functions.

      There are 4 main groups of foods that we should eat to maintain health and fitness. These include:
      – fruits and vegetables
      – starchy foods like (like pasta, bread, rice, and potatoes)
      – milk and dairy products
      – protein (like meat, fish, eggs, and beans)
