      When the experiments go wrong or don’t show you what you think you should be seeing. I’ve been doing some work with mice and seeing if they’ll avoid the smell of an parasite-infected insect and after hours of watching videos and analysing it it showed nothing! 🙁

      Well writing complex scientific computer codes – and getting them right is certainly challenging, but that’s what I’m good at. Probably the most challenging thing I do is when I go out to meet scientists who are experts in their own fields, but I’m not! Then there is a huge learning curve for me to understand what the problems are that they are setting out to try and solve, and then to understand how Supercomputers can be used to help them.
