The jellyfish that are able to do this are called the ‘immortal jellyfish’ Pretty cool name! One common species that does this is Turritopsis Nutricula which is able to revert back to its juvenile form. The jellyfish is able to do this through a cell development process of transdifferentiation. This basically means that the cells are able to transform from adult cells back into juvenile cells. A pretty handy trick!
