• Question: Is there anything faster than the speed of light?

      Not that we know of. A few years ago, some scientists thought that they had discovered some neutrinos going ever-so-slightly faster than the speed of light. They checked their results many times for errors, then published them so that other scientists could check their work and try to duplicate their results. Eventually it was found they had made a tiny error in their timings, so the neutrinos were indeed travelling at the speed of light. If they had turned out to be correct, it would have been a massive and exciting discovery! But in any case this is a good story of how science works, and that’s why when you do experiments to need to think very carefully about where errors might come from.

      I agree with Iain, we haven’t discovered anything faster than the speed of light (yet).
