Our DNA codes for different proteins. These proteins play a crucial role in the correct functioning of our bodies. If someone has a genetic disease, the protein(s) involved in the onset of the disease may be faulty and therefore cannot perform its function correctly. Fortunately, with some conditions, there are treatments to combat these faulty proteins.
