Question: have you ever felt men have been prejudiced towards you as you are females working in a male dominated society and working area? Would you also consider yourself a feminist?

  I can’t say i have. In the department i work in the majority of phd students is female but in the academic offices outside we only have 2 females out of about 30. Further up the academic food chain, the less females there are but there are a lot of measures in place which are trying to change this, such as Athena Swan amongst others. I’ve had the whole cat calling from builders but i just ignore this normally. I think i would consider myself a feminist in that i’m in support of males and females being viewed as equals in all aspects of life.
