A very good question. The problem with sea pollution is that it takes a global effort and international cooperation to solve. It usually affects waters belonging to more than one country and so it requires countries to work together. Often science is not the problem. After all, there are a number of novel and well-established technologies to remove all sorts of contaminants and debris from water. However, more often it is the political situation and lack of agreement between fovernments which succesfully prevent harmonious cooperation in cleaning the world’s seas and oceans.
